Idaho is one of 16 states now listed with the highest risk for earthquakes. Is your state on the list? The newly updated national seismic hazards maps from the US Geological Survey (USGS) show an increased earthquake risk to about one-third of the US. Earthquake coverage is excluded under the typical Homeowners Insurance policy and is rarely purchased in most states.
